Your $.02

Ok, American Idol fans, what are your thoughts? Who do you think is going to win the competition? Do you agree with Melinda being kicked off tonight? Why or why not? Can a beat boxer really be the Idol? Does Jordan have what it takes? Did America do wrong by Melinda? Discuss...

Okay, so even though Melinda is from Brentwood and I should probably like her for that reason alone, I never really cared for her, personality-wise. Her modesty seemed fake to me most of the time, she seemed really old, and I'm not a big fan of her style of music in the first place. So! I wasn't really surprised to see her go last night. I think Blake had a lot of female fans in the first place and picked up even more when Chris Richardson went. That said, I can't really see him being the American Idol over Jordin. She just exudes mind-blowing talent, personality, and charm - very reminiscent of Kelly Clarkson. I'll be happy if either of them win, but I'm definitely pulling for Miss Jordin. (And yes, I am a dork.)

And so, what of the people in the family with Tivo's & haven't been able to watch this episode yet? Thanks for ruining it. Actually, I haven't watched it this year, but i would've been very mad if you'd done that last year. But you gotta give folks a warning before you do that stuff sis.

No warning here, lil' bro! You just need to stay up with the times, or are you getting just old on me?

Serah, I have to agree with you completely! Well, almost. I never really thought Melinda was fake. I just think she missed the day that God handed out personalities! Oh, and necks... Seriously, WHERE IS HER NECK?!

Oh, and if you are a dork you fit in perfectly here. I knew there was a reason I loved you so much!

Hee hee! That's awesome. I love that other people obsess over A.I. the way I do... and that I can at least count on my cousin to be as big a dork as I.

Julie, okay, I would like to retract my statement about her being fake because what you said about her just not having a personality makes more sense. But what did you make of her acting so surprised by the judges adoring comments up until Simon told her to drop the act? Ah, I digress... (She really and truly does not have a neck though, Amen on that one sister.)

Um, and, so as far as Tivo goes - I am an adamant Tivo user but I still watch the episode the NIGHT it airs! Seriously, you can't call yourself a die-hard fan if you wait to watch the dang episode (Mom) until another day!

Oh one more thing I wanted to say is that I think Blake needs to learn some new dance moves. That little shuffle he does with his feet and then pulling on one side of his jacket is getting O-L-D. That is all. Oh and the mouth thing he does too, that's starting to bother me. Okay bye.

Ok, I have to admit with my work schedule I haven't been able to see every episode. (Yes, we are still in the dark ages with NO TIVO!) I could have recorded it the old fashioned way, but, well it just didn't happen. Anyway, I said all of that to say I didn't see the episode where Simon told Melinda to drop the act. That does make things a little more interesting.... hmmmmm.....

Well, I was mainly directing that little comment at my mother who I know records every episode but still doesn't watch them on time!

Yes, he told her to drop the "surprised act" or something along those lines, and she understood right away and stopped doing it so much. Of course, my parents' theory is that she was so used to being a background singer she didn't know how to take all the compliments at first. Who knows!

First, I don't call myself a die-hard fan cuz if I did, I might lose all my friends & my cool-guy status.

"but still doesn't watch them on time! "

And this little comment just goes to show you that the TV sets your schedule, but your mom watches whenever she wants? Sounds like your mom is ahead of you on this one. Thats just my opinion. But the truth be told, I haven't even watched any of this season, so I don't know who any of these people are. I'm just in here causing trouble.

Okay Tim, You know you want to come out of the closet as a die hard Idol Junkie. Come on admit it, Now Don't You Feel Better?

Haha, Tim, I wouldn't have expected you to be a die-hard American Idol fan...

And yes, American Idol is the one show that does set my schedule. Anything else on T.V. I couldn't care less about, for the most part.
