Never a dull moment
It is true- there is never a dull moment around our house! Unfortunately, Mother had another heart episode on Thursday and had another stent placed on Friday afternoon. She told me on Thursday that she had been having some discomfort on exertion for two weeks, so I guess this has been building for a while. The procedure went very well. They placed the new stent in the third main artery of her heart. She was dismissed from the hospital yesterday afternoon and is staying with her brother/sister-in-law in St.Louis for a week. That way she is only ten minutes away from her doctors and hospital while recuperating instead of 90 minutes. She is doing well now and felt like going out for lunch today.
Paul and I along with Barry/Julie and girls have a short trip to Silver Dollar City planned for Wed-Sat. of this week, and Mother insists that we go ahead with it. So, if she continues to do well, I guess we will go. Should be a fun time as long as everyone stays healthy!
That's all for now. How is everyone else?

Poor Dora! We are sorry to hear that she is conintuing to need stents, but thank goodness the technology is there so she can have them.
It sounds like Hal and Hazel are going through a rough time, too.
We hope that you and the young ones can get off to Silver Dollar City as planned.
Keep us updated on the folks.
As it is right now we are still planning on Silver Dollar City. Dora is doing well which is really incredible and she insists that we go on.
I'm glad Dora was able to get the help she needed and is doing better. She really is too good a person to have so much sickness.
Jerry's sister-in-law, Edna who is his brother Jimmy's wife, wasn't so lucky. She was having problems Fri., went to her doctor complaining of stomach pains, nausea etc. and the doctor thought it was from some meds he gave her and changed them. Not better last evening they took her to Fulton to ER and the doctor there determined she had probably has a heart attack on Fri. They sent her to Columbia and she was scheduled for surgery this AM at 6:30...but the doctor didn't show up until 8:30 and she died before he got there. She does so much and has always been pretty healthy except for some allergy problems that this has really been a shock. We will be going up but tonight don't know when we will leave as they haven't decided when the funeral will be. She has long taught Sunday School at Hatton Methodist Church and her funeral will be there. We will be staying in a motel probably at Kingdom City. Anyone needing us can contact Jill or Tony as they will know where we are and we will have Jill's cell ph. 703-6052.
