The Next, and Hopefull the Last, Operation
The surgery on my prostate is scheduled for Friday, August 10th at 1:00 pm. We will be at the same hospital as before. Lola will not be carrying a purse this time. Matter of fact, she hasn't bought a new one yet. This time Daniel will be escorting us in and out.
Let's hope that this surgery does not cause something else to go haywire. I am finding out that my body is pretty damn delicate and easily thrown out of whack. I used to think I would play tennis until I was 90, but that came to a halt 25 years ago when I blew my knee out and then later did a side step while playing tennis and broke my foot.
Then I thought I could play golf until I was 90. Now I realize that 90 is a long way off for me to be predicting anything. Anything, that is, but happiness with my bride. We just celebrated our 27th anniversary. We have been planning to go to Alaska to celebrate our 25th anniversary for the last three years. Maybe next year.
We are looking forward to the time when we can see everyone again.
Take care. Let us know what is up with you guys in your corner of the world.

Just want you to know I'm thinking about ya & praying for ya Uncle Max. Hope all goes well.
Max,
Sorry to hear about what you and Lola have gone through, hopefully like you say it will be the last.
I haven't told you mother about this, if you want her to know, I can tell her, she worries about everyone as it is. Just want you to know, that you and Lola are in our prayers, please keep us informed.
Roy
Max and Lola we are keeping you in our prayers. God Bless.
OK....enough is enough! I think you and Lola have had more than your share of illness, surgeries, pain, and misfortune this year!!! I hope this operation will be the end of your troubles.
Happy Anniversary. Tony and I celebrated 26 yrs. on Aug 1. I think you should just start planning that trip to Alaska. Think positive.... the bad times are behind you!
All is well with us. Beth just finished her summer courses. Calculus has given her a few sleepless nights but I think she passed. She can't wait to begin student teaching. Clay starts at Rankin Tech on Aug 16. He is majoring in electrical/systems design. Heather loves her job at Barnes-Jewish. Tony and I are working and trying to stay healthy. He has cholesterol issues so we are dieting and riding bikes. We've been taking the boat out most weekends to fish but it was just too hot this weekend. We opted to stay in the a/c and be lazy.
Well, that's it for us. Who is next? Let us hear what is up with you and yours.
Max, prayers and good wishes are being sent your way. I know between Lola and Daniel you will be well cared for.
