Cynthia and Greg need help

To all,

I know everyone is busy but I do have a small favor!! I want to make Gary a new picture wall and I need current pictures please! He still has pictures from several years ago up there. He have gone through a really rough patch lately. He ran into another resident and really hurt her this time. The social worker called us and was very upset because they were taken the lady to the hospital. Yes he did it on purpose to. He readily admitted it. He just gets frustrated and bored. Greg & I have been crazy busy with moving and the end of school activites and have only had quick visits with him. We have made a promise to do better with our visits.
But anyway I would love to have pictures to brighten up his room. Greg & I are going to clean it out and go through all his drawers and try to fix it up a little better.
So if you can please send to : 114 Rock Levee Rd
Scott City MO 63780

Send silly pics, pics of your beloved little furry friends whatever! Thanks for your help.

Dad

Hello all. Uncle Paul, I came over Dads house and hooked him up to the blog. I first set him up a gmail account and then did your portion. I put him as Larry and saved all of the information under his favorites tab. Hopefully he will be on soon.

Linda's Blog entry

Wow- you should be on this end with me pushing all kinds of buttons-
how funny!! I almost sent this with no message, but a little box
appeared and asked me if I really wanted to send it with no message!!
Well, this is my first blog(in my whole life), and I have to laugh at
myself. However, I WILL NOT be left behind by my children and their
generation!HA! So, here I am "blog world". Hmmmm.... wonder if I have
to sign my name or does everyone just magically know who I am? Linda!

Report on Hal

I'm sorry that I haven't given you all an update sooner, but Hal is doing great! He does not have to have any treatment of ANY kind at this time. His doctor said they found it so early that nothing needs to be done at this time. He is going back June 29 for a follow up CT scan and blood work.

You can also edit your profile to add your own photo, interests, etc. I just did mine, check it out by clicking on my name over there to the right! Yay!

Should I tell you?

If you are ready to try something new.

This may not be for the faint of heart

Naproxen

Has anyone ever taken the prescription Naproxen/Naprosyn?

I think it tried to kill me about 30 minutes ago with acid reflux.

The Blog

Lathum bloggers,

We are curious about how to know which comments have been added since we logged on last without going through each message and trying to remember how many comments have already been made. Also the comments don't always have to do with the original message??? We want to participate but we are trying to understand how to make blogging as easy as email. Any suggestions. We will blog this too just in case the one with the answers doesn't get the email.

Max and Lola

I'm here!

Looky, looky! I am here!

I thought I would update everyone on what is going on with us in St. Louis. Barry, the girls, and I just moved to a new apartment in St. Louis (specifically Manchester if you are familiar with St. Louis.) We love the new place! Barry's parents love it too. They love it so much that they are selling their house and moving here too. (They had decided to sell anyway.)

We are also trying to adjust to me working days and nights at the hospital. I rotate between the 2 shifts, but I only have to work 3 days a week so it's not horrible. We really enjoy the days that I have off!

I know this is short but I promise to post more later! Love to all and Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful women in our family!!

surgery

If I pass the rest of the test I shall have right knee replacement surgery, again, July 18 at the hospital in Mayfield. Probably if it wasn't so far to drive I would go back to Chesterfield Hospital in St. Louis. I had a reall good experience there with the Doctors and hospital staff. We started out this morning in Paducah for a battery of test to do with my heart. Had a friend said they were looking for one {heart} and can't locate said organ, I assured them I really have said organ. I actually have spend 10 days of the last 2 weeks in some doctors office or hospital somewhere. The way everything is going the pre-surgery test will cost more than the surgery.
It sounds like this FAMILY is really supporting the medical profession lately.
I only have 3 test left in the next 2 months. More later LADDIE

Let me show off

Ok, silly me didn't realize how to post pictures on here last night, but I got it now. Which means that I get to show off! I'm currently in a relationship with one of the most beautiful women ever created so now I'm gonna show her off! These first 2 were maybe a week or 2 ago.

The second is Dazyl with Cherry & Haydee, some other Filipino girls from our work.

This is at the Isle of Capri casino in Boonville, Mo (out by Columbia). Its a tiny little casino in the middle of nowhere, but after being in the business over 2 years, I just like checking them all out.

This is personal favorite although she doesn't like it. Its my cell phone's background as well.

Look at me

I did it I did it... I'm part of the cool crowd now... So how is everyone? Boston is FINALLY warm! Mom & Dad are really looking forward to their traveling summer... I'm glad because they should do it more often!!!!

Well not much more to report, I am bored out of my mind! I do puzzles and read because, and I know Tim will agree, television in the afternoon is CRAP!!! CRAP I tell you.. I think I started losing brain cells I shouldn't continue to watch it or I might start to enjoy them!!! Or God forbid relate to them!!! HOLY GOOGLY MOOGLY!!!

Love to all,
Joi

PS--- Big Shout out to Josh & LeeAnn on their soon to be little blessing. Are you going to find out the sex of the baby before or wait? LeeAnn how are you feeling? Besides excited...

Josh you'll be a great Dad no question in my mind!!!! I really happy for the two of you. Its nice when it works out for nice and decent people!!! Yes Josh I included you in nice and decent!! I'm not all evil you know... LOL j

I have the MAGIC New Post button now!

Hello all!

After all my crying about not having the magical button and I just realized I don't have very much to say afterall. I think it was just the principle of the matter:)

I just got back from a short little trip with 2 of my best girlfriends to New Orleans for Jazzfest. We went down Thursday afternoon and got home Sunday evening. It was quite fun, but I missed my boys a little too much so I think this will be my last overnighter without them...

Anyway, New Orleans is still looking pretty rough, but we stayed in the French Quarter for the most part so it was nothing too noticable.

We did manage to figure out where Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie stay when they're in town:

And I'm sooo not ashamed to admit that touching Louis de Pointe du Lac's mailbox was probably the most exciting part of the whole trip. (If you've not seen Interview with the Vampire, this might be lost on you.)

Okay, one last thing and then I swear I'm done with the pictures...

The St. Louis Cathedral is probably the most amazing building I've ever laid my eyes on.

(You can see all the photos from New Orleans by
clicking here!)

My only real regret is not snapping a photo of the field full of about 500+ white fema trailers; truly an amazing site.

Okay, I'm done... for now:) Hope everyone is well. I have to get an MRI done on my knee tomorrow so please pray that I don't have a major anxiety attack in that little tube. If mom's telling me right, the Valium should help with that, but we shall see!
xoxo, Serah

Shaeleigh & Jaedyn are in the front

Riding on Grant's Trail

I just got a call from my oldest granddaughter asking that I ride with her this Saturday in St. Louis on Grant's Trail. It is a benefit for Kids with Cancer. Her school is sponsoring this ride. So Saturday, Jaedyn, Shaeliegh and I will all participate in the ride. Everyone else is working so I will be on a bicycle date alone with my girls.... Hold all my calls....Take a message....We'll be back when we get back!
Did I mention one will be pushing me and the other will be pulling!

Paul

View from Nashville

Yeah! Paul unlocked the door to this blog and let me in...oh, he'll be sorry. There for a while I thought I had been voted off the island. I wasn't getting all the family email at work and so I was only getting part of what was going on. And Mother asks every day what we've heard that day.

Mother is reading every minute she can, and fortunately her series (Love Inspired) comes out with 6-8 books a month, which we always get. She has other favorite fiction authors if you're ever looking for a gift for her - books are her very favorite gift: Debbie Macomber (we don't have many from 11/06 and back), Karen Kingsbury, Lori Wick and Robin Jones Gunn (she loved the first Sister Chicks). She has lots of clothes she doesn't wear, but she always has a book in hand.

She doesn't like historical or ultra modern settings, and she prefers paperback, but she has a few hardback too. She really loves reading all your messages too, and it helps her feel in touch with the family.

Spring has come to Tennessee, and it's my favorite time of year here. The late frost took its toll on some of the Bradford Pear trees. Ours have dropped most of the leaves that were damaged and are thick and green, but others were not as fortunate, depending on the amount of sun they got. The Crepe Myrtle seem to be completely wiped out from the frost, and they usually bloom all summer and are everywhere here - what a shame.

More later - Sheila
