Ding Ding Ding

I think I have figured this thing out....I am probably the last family member to get it.

Testing...Testing. Trying to see if I have finally pushed the right buttons, rang the right bells, etc.
June

There are no magic buttons

Laddie and anyone else who may have trouble posting, the first time we left a message on the blog it was simple, we just went to the post button. After that, we too thought we couldn't post. We finally found out that we have to "sign in" every time we want to post. As you have found out you can add a comment to someone's blog without signing in, however, in a way you are signing in because you have to use your user name and password. The sign in tab appears at the right top of the blog page. After you sign in you will see the option for "new post". Select new post and another screen appears where you post the title and message which we are all so eager to read.

You can continue posting or making comments without having to sign in again, (post button appears in the upper right on the blog page) until you close the blog or turn off your computer.

Hope this helps you post.

Your $.02

Ok, American Idol fans, what are your thoughts? Who do you think is going to win the competition? Do you agree with Melinda being kicked off tonight? Why or why not? Can a beat boxer really be the Idol? Does Jordan have what it takes? Did America do wrong by Melinda? Discuss...

Knee

Okay, so for those of you who were curious to hear the results of my MRI, I thought I'd let you know I got a pretty good report. He basically diagnosed it as post-injury knee degeneration. This was both relieving and disconcerting; it's hard to be in (sometimes severe) pain and then not get a solid, definitive diagnoses. Anyway, he basically said there was quite a bit of tearing/fissuring/inflammation in my cartilage (and swelling as a result) most likely from previous injuries I sustained back in my soccer days, and more recently just by being a huge klutz. He told me that with someone my age they tend to steer clear of surgery unless absolutely necessary, so for now it will be treated with anti-inflammatory drugs, this fancy knee brace, and physical therapy. (And I did mention the whole right hip being off causing left knee pain and he said that while familial structural problems are fairly common, I didn't show any signs of that...)

Jaedyn's ride

Saturday Jaedyn rode 7 miles in just about 1 hour, that's with training wheels. Shaeleigh pushed me most of the way - that's a great way to ride a bicycle with someone else pushing....After the ride we went back to Jaedyn's school for a benefit BBQ of pork steak and the fixin's. The ride was to benefit Kids with Cancer.
I have been growing my hair since Jan-Feb as part of a promotion for the American Cancer Society with our Relay For Life. I said I wouldn't cut it until we raised $5,000. Sunday we crossed $6,200 and we still have till June 8... They are scheduling my haircut for June 10 after worship... See if we can draw a crowd for that one! Ha!
I am cutting it between weddings this summer, the brides are kinda nervous. I am offering to wear a dew wrap on my head...

Here is also a picture of Shaeleigh on Jaedyn's bike too. She rode about 20 feet before crashing. I just turned my head for 2 seconds....

Mother's Day in Nashvegas

Happy Mother's Day all! Just wanted to share a few photos of our day:

Josh and Leann were down, but I didn't manage to get any of them for some reason. We did learn the official name of my niece/nephew-to-be, but I'm going to let them announce that! I think Josh said they've been trying to get started on the blog, but are having some trouble. (They may need to be resent the magical e-mail with the magical link!)

Mom got herself a nice present for Mother's Day - a broken toe. She managed to catch it on something on the floor and sure enough it's broken. It's purple and blue on both sides - Kind of like Hydrangeas, so it turned out to be okay that I forgot to get her flowers... Right mom?

Mamamax was really enjoying her day, especially lunch; Dad made his famous roast beef which is always a hit. She had a good time retelling Josh's infamous "Mamamax, come on down!" (The Price is Right) story and every time she tells it she just laughs and laughs. She'd gotten several greeting cards, too, which always perks her up.

Hope everyone had a wonderful day with family today.
Wish it could have been with us!
