I'm 39 for the 34th time

Wondering if the Bostonians and anyone else made it to Nashville today to celebrate my birthday. Hope your day was a nice as ours. Jill, Tony, Beth, Jerry Lee and Clauda joined us at our favorite Chinese place to pig out and then back to the house for homemade ice cream and cake. Umm so good! Are your travels bringing anyone this direction??????

Also haven't heard from Max& Lola lately and how you are progressing with the aches and pain dept. I can oh so sympathize. You need my and Jill's chiropractor to use his little magic air gun on your miseries. It really does help.

Saw where Laddie is off building a church this week. Gary Johnson is leaving with a group from the church soon to go to Peru to build a church. Last summer they went to Costa Rica.

Paul if you want to ride those long distances without all the pain, it takes practice, practice, practice. You just gotta toughen up the butt. When I don't ride for a long time, it is always my knees that get so tired. You need to go back to the ballgame. You were apparently a good luck charm and I don't think they have won a game since.

I've been enjoying everyone's pictures and Roy's funnies on email. I love the Maxine ones. Jerry's sister says when she gets old she is going to be Maxine.

Y'all take care.

This is a good way to keep up with.....the baby (and us)!

Laddie

Well I guess I'm out of step with the world again. I'm leaving tomorrow morning for Mcleansboro. Il. to help build a new church. The Carpenters for Christ hope with good weather and hard work we will build a church this next week. Tell Larry and Jeaninne that I'm sorry for the mix up. Laddie

The Bostonians Sighted Moving South

I just talked with Sheila and the Bostonians have now officially left Boston and have headed south toward Nashville. The word is the hope to be in NashVegas, Friday. I guess they had a problem getting a room as this is Fan Weekend in N'ville....

Want to upload a video?

For those of you that are ready to try to upload a video, this is how I did it. (Its really not that tough) if you already have a youtube account, skip to step 5.

1. Go to www.youtube.com
2. Click sign up in the upper right
3. Fill out the information
4. Check your email for an activation link (click that link)
5. Go back to youtube & sign in if you need to
6. Now in the upper right a button says "upload videos" - click that
7. Fill out a title, description & tags for the video (this is all just descriptions, put whatever), select a category and then click "continue uploading" at the bottom.
8. Click the browse button to find the video file on your computer then click "upload video" at the bottom.
9. The next page is called Edit My Video, scroll to the bottom and there is a beige box titled: "Embed HTML: Put this video on your Web site! Copy and paste the code below to embed the video."
10. Highlight the html code in the box (make sure you get all of it), right click on it & click copy.
11. Then as you are creating a post here on blogger, click the tab that says "edit html".
12. Paste the code in there. Then when you publish your post the video will be "embedded" just like mine was.

6 flags trip

Dazyl & I went to 6 Flags yesterday. I got some pics & a video. Now lets see if I can be the first to embed a video in the blog!

The idea here is to climb up the rope ladder & ring a bell at the top. I tried this many times last year before giving up. This is one of the times Dazyl tried.

Lunch at Red Robin

Last week Dazyl, Mom, Nana & myself got to meet up for lunch & i snapped a couple pictures so here they are.

Larry the Cable Guy

Well I leave town a couple of days and you guys all get quiet!

I saw a movie last week with my bride - Delta Farce. We laughed and laughed. Larry the Cable Guy was in it. I had seen some other stuff he had done and I was not impressed, but this was funny and that day we needed a laugh! I would suggest this for the mature audience out there.

Larry (Lathum) called me the other day and said he and Jeannine were heading out very soon to Nashville. So he called me and asked where to stay in Nashville (ha!). Last time Linda and I were there we stayed at the Hilton near Roy & Sheila's house.

I just returned from Annual Church Conference and have been reassigned to Cuba. We have now been here 4 1/2 years which is right on my average length of stay anywhere over the last 27 years. Wow I must be getting to be an old fart preacher! In September I begin year 28!

Sunday morning I played hookey and went bicycling riding with a friend we rode almost 45 miles. My tush is a little sore today. We rode on what had been the Frisco RR line from Springfield, MO to Bolivar. It is hard packed gravel.

I got tickets from a friend for Wednesday's Cardinal's game and we are taking Tim & Dazyl with us. The Cards are playing the Red's. I know the Cards will win since I am going to be there.

That's all from Cuba for now.
