Sisters and best friends for life:

Dazyl burying Tim in the sand at Trout Lodge. He is still digging sand out of places where he didn't know he had places! (I didn't have ANYTHING to do with it!! NO, NOT ME!)

Update on Hal

Hal (Barry's dad) had a follow up CT scan last week. They saw 2 enlarged lymph nodes and have decided to start antibody treatment (Rituxan) and chemo on July 12 and 13. He will have to go for treatments every 3 weeks for an undetermined length of time. Please keep him and Hazel in your prayers as they start this leg of the journey.

Photographs & Updates

Well, we had a really lovely little 4th of July this year. First we had a small BBQ at Mimi & Poppy's house, and then we braved downtown Nashville to see the most spectacular fireworks demonstration I've ever witnessed! Anyway, just thought I'd share some photo links to those who may be interested...

Album #1: 4th of July
There are some of the cutest pictures ever taken of my mom & dad in here!

Album #2: Swimming
Steven & Eli, taken earlier tonight

Album #3: Misc.
Mamamax's book collection, our dog, Eli, plants, etc...

P.S. Dad has had all of his completely-the-opposite-of-fun cancer detection tests this week, and has some more scheduled for tomorrow. Mom took off work and plans to accompany him. Secondly, mom had to get another back numbing (needle in the spine) treatment and has been having a very rough time of it lately, to say the least. Please keep them both in your prayers.

"Everyday's a Holiday with Mary..."

Happy 4th to all! I wish we were all together to ooh and ahh at the fireworks. I pray that everyone is healthy and stays safe today. I would love to see pics of everyone's celebrations.

Are you proud of your home town?

I was wasting time on www.newsoftheweird.com and came across this story.

On one fateful day in 2003 in Sikeston, Mo., according to Holly Adams, she had sex at different times with Raymon and Richard Miller, who are identical twins and who did not know about each other's encounter. Adams became pregnant, but both Millers deny paternity despite, of course, an identical DNA match for each brother (with both claiming that it must have been the other). Adams has named Raymon the father, and a court must decide paternity and child support just like courts did before DNA testing was developed. [ABC News, 5-21-07]

Hmmmmm....
