June's world

Now that Idol and Dancing with the Stars are over it is a darn good thing the Cardinals are winning tonight. I can sympathize with Joi about not having much to watch on TV and besides reading there isn't very much else I can do. I went back to the doctor this week and he dismissed me from the appendectomy.....hooray! I don't remember if I have said, but I went into the hospital with a bad appendix and came out with something called C.difficile. This is a nasty bacterial infection in the intestines that takes a long time to cure. Most likely place to get it was from a nurse that didn't wash her hands as she went from patient to patient. A couple weeks ago I had six days of horrendous diarrea ....thought I had surely died and gone to hell. I'm all better now.......just be on antibiotics for awhile yet. I had a lot of good nursing care from Jerry, Jerry Lee, Jill and Beth. Even Judy stayed right by me. When Jerry would take her out she would fly back down the hall and lay right by my bed.

I've talked to Mary and Maxine this past week. They definitely seem to be in better shape than their younger sister. Mary is still push mowing her big ole yard and Maxine is still reading a book or two a day.

Cynthia thanks for the note. So glad your brother made it home safely. Give Trenton a big birthday hug for me.

I always enjoy all the pictures. I am simply not smart enough to do that and since I will be 39 for the 34th time next month, maybe I have been 39 too many times to learn!!!! Mary doesn't like to reveal her age but she is 12 years older than I am and Maxine is 19 years older.........you do the math!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Trenton turns 3

Remember our baby boy Trenton? Turns 3 on Monday! Hard to believe.

On to Blogging

I have been behind, but on to blogging with everyone else. Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy & Safe Holiday. Our family is traveling to K.C. to see my brother Thomas who has just arrived home from serving a year in Kuwait. We will be glad to put our arms around his neck! It has been a long year but we are glad to have him home where he belongs.

Look At Me.....

Look at me......I'm actually blogging! My daughter will be so proud. She is always telling me I need to step out of my box and try something new!! I think thats her way of telling my I may be a little boring!

It's good to see so much activity here. Not alot to tell here, but I would like to chime in on Am. Idol by saying .......Go Jordin.......Go Jordin!!

Max & Lola & Sera- Hope you are all feeling better, I can certainly sympathize with back, hip, leg pain. I seem to have inherited the "Daugherty back" I have been going to the chiropractor for adjustments for a yr. and have made great improvement, my hips are level and my spine is straighter. I caught it early enough to hopefully correct the problem and prevent alot of damage down the road. Thanks Mom! We go to the same chiropractor and I would still be walking around in pain if she hadn't talked me into going! We don't go to a "bone cruncher" we use the activator method, MUCH easier on the body! It works wonders for sinus problems.

Hey Tim- If Dazyl is as sweet as she is gorgeous you are a lucky guy!!

Josh and Leann- CONGRATULATIONS on the baby. You will be TERRIFIC parents.

Paul- Thanks for getting this started. Tony & I took our first bike ride of the season lastnight. It was short and sweet but at least it's a start! Beth wants to start riding. She is trying to talk her Papa out of a bike. His workshop looks like a small bike shop!

Kersey Clan- Hope all is well in the Music City. I big shout out to Aunt Max, hope you are enjoying the blog. We miss you!

Have a Great Day! Jill

Lenox

Lenox says she would love to just lick Jack's little face until it's soakin' wet! (And trust me, it would only take a second.)

the family that Blogs together ...

I just want to say - way to go everyone!
Since we started this blog I have seen great communications going back and forth. I love that a week after a post you can still go back and read the post and everyone's comments and catch up. At times it sounds like we are all sitting in Mother's living room chatting about life...

Maybe I should have named this "the Living room" or something fancy like that?

Anyway - well done folks. We still have a few family members that haven't joined up. I did have to make some restrictions because one spammer had already found us and was posting stuff ... well we just didn't need that so I deleted the comments. (I have strange and powerful abilities so don't know about...:) ) Now you can't make a comment or post without being a member, before anyone could make a comment.

To the right is a list of everyone who is has "joined" if you think of someone who isn't on the list you would like to hear from -drop me an email and I will send them and invitation and get them signed up.

Well I'm off. Gotta take Helen O to the eye Dr in StL today and Dora into StL tomorrow for a stress test (just her regular check up thingie).

Peace and Love

Could somebody make some coffee?

Keep trying till you get it...

I'm trying again!! Testing.. testing.. Let's see if this one goes to the right place! Linda.

Let's post that picture

Let me see if I can explain how to post a picture - it really isn't hard. It just seems that way until you have done it. Yes, you can teach an old dog new "clicks" or "techs".

1. Sign into the Blogger site
2. Click on "NEW POST" (upper right of the window)
3. Add a Title to your post like - "Let's post that picture"
4. In the large box below type your comment or description of your picture
5. Find the icon "Add Image" (it looks like a small picture of mtns. and sky) - click on it
6. Click on BROWSE and Browse to the picture on your computer of the picture you want to post on the blog. (hint: I use Iphoto and export the picture I want to post to my desktop so I can find it easily)
7. Choose LAYOUT (where the pic will land in your blog)
8. You MAY select an image size (Small, Medium, or Large) This is how big it will be on the blog page
9.Click on "UPLOAD IMAGE" - An animated gif will start and should contine until the upload is complete - How long this will take depends on how large your picture file is and the speed of your internet connection. (mine usually takes 10-15 seconds)
10.Click on "DONE"
10. a. The first and I think only time you go through there is a box that has to be checked just to the right of the "Publish Post" to "ACCEPT TERMS" - this is legal gibberish check it and then
11. Click on "PUBLISH POST"
12. Then you can view the Updated Post by clicking on "VIEW BLOG" - tada!!!

Shaeleigh's Birthday pic

This pic is of Shaeleigh & Julie, taken on Saturday.

Who is Yasin??

Paul, check out the comment posted by Yasin on Laddie's blog about visiting Gary. Is this someone we know? We clicked on the name and saw that the person is from Turkey.

Here's Jack

We have no idea how we finally, actually, successfully added a picture of Jack to our posting. We followed the directions to upload at least five times without success. Even as we write this we have no idea how it will post. We chose Jack to see if you really can teach an old dog new techs.

Now aren't you sorry I learned how to post. laddie

Visited Gary this past Friday and he is doing quite well. He wouldn'd talk about his altercation with that lady. We stayed for barbeque dinner and had hamburgers and hot dogs. Of course we had to go outside where he could smoke. Mary Alice and I took a few pictures of him and I shall post them when I get more education (posting) . He talked to mother a short while and then we headed to Memphis.
Our trip to Memphis was very important, we had a birthday party to attend, the honoree was our youngest grand child, who was turning 4 quite a magicial number when your only 3. So we partied Friday night and then she was quite a star in a dance recitial Saturday morning. She was certainly entertaining to watch, she is very much her mothers daughter, who is almost as clumsy as her father. I know everyone will be excited to see the pictures. ha ha same problem as before, will post after more education. Laddie and Mary Alice

Ali's Baby girl - Mary Hogan's thought

I guess June is just a little shy, but here is last email.
pl
--------

Me too!!!!! I hope Ali's baby girl goes home this week. I don't like her attitude. Mary Hogan says she is tired of watching her shake her fat butt all over the stage and the judges fawning over her. I agree!!!!!!
